Transparency Voting Systems (TVS)

What is TVS?

Transparency Voting Systems (TVS) is an early-stage company focused on developing electoral transparency technology.

The Problem

Transparency was sacrificed at the altar of automation.

Manual or electronic?

Trust in manual systems has long been undermined by their vulnerabilities. Yet, they have the advantage of being easy to understand and offering some transparency. Fully electronic systems have failed to gather public trust. Voters feel that there is no guarantee that their vote counts, and the results of recent investigations support their concerns.

Earn trust through transparency

Our goal is to build an electoral system with an unprecedented level of transparency. A hybrid system that combines the best of manual and electronic voting to make large-scale fraud unfeasible. We will draw from our unique experience detecting anomalies through the use of math, and related investigations over many years.

Core Design Values

Transparency

Trust comes from transparency, not from certifications. No special knowledge should be required to understand how results are produced.

Redundancy

Follow the "Swiss Cheese Model" of safety: multiple independent layers reduce the risk of catastrophic failure.

Verifiability

Results and data must be verifiable through documented and repeatable procedures.

Self-restraint

What should not change must not be changeable (immutability). Minimize insider knowledge that could lead to manipulation of the final result.

TACO

Transparent Automated Counting

A critical slice in our multi-layered Swiss Cheese security model. Our technology makes automated vote counting fully transparent to any human observer. The system scans ballots and produces two outputs: the results and a video that shows every ballot being read and counted in real time, using visible tally marks.

This is just one important component of the full hybrid system. Multiple other security layers are currently being developed to avoid corruption and manipulation.

We're currently raising funds for research, development and production. Learn more about how we're using this funding through our YouTube and X channels.

Let's talk.

We're raising to build the remaining layers of the hybrid system. If verifiable elections are worth funding, we'd like to show you TACO in more depth.
